Fashion for Good was the first attempt to create a movement within the fashion industry. Our concept was huge - combining fashion and non profit for the betterment of society. Being involved in the initial wave of this project has made a huge impact on my life. Within 24 hours I was exposed to the Italian media, Caritas and the elite fashion world in Rome. We had a monumental impact when we combined individuals from both fashion and non profit worlds to discuss social responsibility at the round table. After our lectures concerning ethics, it was now time to hear how others felt. The response was positive. For the most part individuals understood our cause and its importance. The success of this project will continue to be noticed as we continue to pursue and develop Fashion for Good.
Fashion for Good has a lofty goal, with the intention of using the power of the fashion world to improve cultures and lifestyles around the world. My time in Rome showed me that this world is very political and slow to change. We were fortunate to be included in Alta Roma's Fashion Week. This was an important first step, which I felt was very beneficial.

For this chapter of the project, our mission was to get our name out there; and we accomplished just that. The project is anything but finished, and will continue to expand and prosper. There is a lot more to do in the future but we have succeeded in making the first strides to get Fashion for Good in motion.
We acted as representatives throughout this project by attending several fashion shows and making appearances at the parties. Good behavior was exemplified and we made it our mission to talk to everyone who spoke English about Fashion for Good.

My personal goal with the Fashion for Good project was to make people aware and knowledgeable about our cause. By making people aware, they are likely to remember the name and that we are truly serious about Fashion for Good when we continue with the project in the years to come.
The press conference and the round table were very educational and by volunteering at Caritas, I understood the concept of being socially responsible even more. I think the project itself was very effective. Thanks for the opportunity. It was a great experience.

Not only did we as students in another country learn so much about this project, Fashion for Good, but I think we left an appreciation on Rome too. The second week, which we spent in Rome, was our most effective, in my opinion. We fed the poor and learned about Caritas; we promoted FfG by going to fashion shows and parties and talking to the press. Each of us played a part in this project because we all did so much in our own ways.

Fashion for Good was an in-depth learning experience. It was effective in the sense that we received recognition for our efforts. While in Rome we had the opportunity to visit Caritas, which is a center that helps the less fortunate to get back on their feet. We also were able to view several fashion shows and participate in a panel discussion which gave us our first
insight into how the fashion system would react to such a project as Fashion for Good. We focused on social responsibility and how to communicate what we do as PR practitioners to the world who thinks we do nothing but "dishonest spin." It is important not to lose sight of what is really important, but it can happen very easily. I can only hope that others will take the chance to step out of their comfort zone and experience something of which they are not accustomed.

I think we created a solid foundation for Fashion for Good on which others can build. This project was not about changing the fashion world overnight. It’s a major, ground-breaking thing we’re trying to accomplish. It’s going to take time. In order to truly comprehend the project’s success or failure, we’re going to have to sit down and evaluate every step of it. I do think we’re on the right track in this movement. Our biggest problem, in my opinion, is getting the media’s attention. That’s easier said than done, and it’s the part of the project that needs to be examined the most.
I wrote that I thought we were on the right track with this project. I meant that I think the things we did during AltaRoma were excellent. We were at the roundtable. We were at the fashion shows. We were at the after-parties. We made ourselves visible. But next time, we need to be more visible. That means more appearances at fashion shows, more appearances at parties and more appearances at meetings. We need to push ourselves further into the public eye. I felt the roundtable was an excellent way to get our message out. Now we have to evaluate its effectiveness and in turn, develop a plan on how we can make it even better the next time around. Working at the homeless shelter was a tremendous experience for all of us, but not a lot of people knew we did that. So, again, we need to figure out a way to ourselves more in the spotlight of the media. For its first round, I thought Fashion for Good successful. Now, we have to build upon that success to reach the goal we set out to accomplish.

In my opinion this project was very effective! We meet everyday (Mon-Thur) for at least three hours a day learning from our professors or from guest speakers. I truly feel that the most effective part of this trip came from out of class experiences like working with Alta Roma and Caritas. I can only hope that other groups will get the same opportunities that we were given on this trip.
I feel that we did a lot of great things in and out of the class room. I believe that my favorite part of this trip was getting to work with my fellow class mates on a much deeper level than in a regular class room environment. I also really enjoyed our time in Rome and working with our project Fashion for Good and like I said many times before working with Caritas. Thank you for such a great opportunity!

In my opinion I feel that we were very effective in that we got our name. That is really what we came to do. It was to inform people about Fashion for Good. This was just the beginning of this project so I feel that we did as good as we could have done. While in Rome we went to fashion shows and elite parties were we discussed our project with as many people as possible. I know we talked to buyers, stylists, and photographers all about fashion for good and the reasons we thought it
was important.
We still have a lot to do with this project but for the start I think it was good. At the round table we did have a lot of positive thoughts on this project which shows that people were interested.
